David Sobel
Executive Director, Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter
David Sobel joined the Hudson Valley Chapter in July 2016.
He has more than 30 years of nonprofit experience, previously serving as director of development for the American Red Cross, where he supervised a team responsible for a portfolio of more than $8 million.
David also worked as the national director of corporate partnerships at the JCC Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Before that, he produced the MS Walk and the MS Bike Tour for the New York City MS Chapter.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University on Long Island and his master’s degree in business administration from St. Thomas University in Miami.
David lives in New City, in Rockland County. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Donna, and his two daughters. An avid sports fan, he roots for the Giants, Knicks and Yankees and plays basketball, softball and tennis. He also has a strong interest in all things pop culture.
