Giselle Fonseca
Community Engagement Manager, Diversity Specialist for Westchester County
Giselle Fonseca joined the Alzheimer's Association's team in October 2022.
Giselle studied criminal justice and psychology at Iona College, where she was heavily involved in student government and service work. After she graduated, she went on to serve as an Outreach AmeriCorps Member at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, where Giselle collaborated with members of the South Bronx and LGBTQ+ communities. After this she went on to be a bilingual case manager, serving survivors of trafficking at My Sisters’ Place, then briefly worked for the Department of State of New York as a program analyst.
She is very passionate about advocacy and inclusion and is excited to serve and collaborate with more communities through this new opportunity. She was raised in Mamaroneck by her parents from Mexico and the Dominican Republic and now lives in West Harrison with her partner. In her free time, she loves going for nature walks, spending quality time with loved ones, taking care of stray cats, and going to concerts.
