Hi! My name is Samantha, and I am 25 years old. I currently live in Yorktown with my two cats, Pepper and Pablo. My background is in journalism and writing, and I have my bachelors and masters in the field. Recently, I took my communication skills and now work at Nord Anglia International School New York as a communication and administrative assistant. My dream is to work with kids and families who are in need of help.
Being a part of YPAC is an amazing opportunity as I get to spread awareness about Alzheimer’s and how horrible this disease is. I grew up living with my grandma, who helped my mom raise me and my sister. In 2010, my grandma was diagnosed with dementia, and she died from the disease in 2017. Seeing her mind deteriorate so quickly and all the side effects, was very traumatic. After she passed, I vowed that I would help others in the same situation.
