Hi! My name is Shirin Rahmati and I am originally from the Bronx. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in DC and a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in CT. I am a pharmacist currently working in hospital and research pharmacy in New York. I am passionate about providing high quality patient care and assisting caregivers with chronic medication management.
My reason for joining the Young Professionals Alzheimer's Council is to support my father, who was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s seven years ago. I look forward to helping the Alzheimer’s Association raise awareness, advocate on behalf of all those who are suffering with Alzheimer’s and fight for change alongside the other members of YPAC!
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and close friends, watching TED talks and traveling.
